ChakraLens (“we”, “us”) operates the website chakralens.com. This policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use our aura and chakra reading tool. We have built ChakraLens to be privacy-first, and we collect as little as possible.
Your photos never leave your device
If you choose to add a photo or use your camera, the image is analyzed entirely inside your own web browser. Your photo is never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never shared with anyone. We extract only anonymous, non-identifying qualities (such as overall color, brightness, and warmth) on your device, and the image is discarded the moment you leave the page. On browsers that support it, we may also use the browser's on-device face detector to check whether a portrait contains a visible face. This is a local quality check: no face template is created, no identity is inferred, and no detection result is sent to us or a third party. We do not perform facial recognition and we do not create or store any biometric data.
What we send to generate your reading
To write your personalized reading, we send only your quiz answers and a short, non-identifying summary of your photo's tone (for example, “warm, luminous, vivid”) to a third-party AI text provider. We never send your photo, your name, your email, or any information that could identify you. The request passes through a Cloudflare Worker operated for ChakraLens and is then processed by Volcengine Ark to compose the optional AI-written prose. If that request fails, the site uses its local deterministic reading instead.
Your saved results and optional nickname
To let you continue where you left off, your browser can save a completed reading, aura color result, chakra plan, completion date, and any nickname you choose in local storage on your own device. ChakraLens uses the most recent timestamp to show a relevant continue link on other pages. The nickname is used only on your result and downloadable cards; it is not sent to our AI provider or our servers. You can remove a saved reading from the tool or clear your browser's site data. We also store a small rotation value locally so repeat visits can receive a different question set.
Advertising, cookies, and similar technologies
ChakraLens does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal information. ChakraLens may use Google AdSense to fund the free service. When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses, or use other device and browser identifiers to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads. Where required, advertising storage and personalized advertising will not be enabled until a user makes a choice through a Google-certified consent platform.
Analytics
ChakraLens uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose to allow analytics. It helps us understand aggregate page visits and product steps such as starting or completing a reading. We do not send photos or nicknames to analytics. You can reject analytics or reopen Privacy choices in the footer at any time. See our Cookie Policy for the current storage categories and controls.
Service providers
We rely on Vercel for static hosting, Cloudflare for the protected AI request proxy, Volcengine Ark for optional text generation, and—when advertising is enabled—Google AdSense and its disclosed advertising partners. These providers may process limited technical data such as IP address and request metadata as necessary to deliver, secure, and measure their services.
International processing
Our providers may process technical request data in countries other than the one where you live. We minimize what is sent: the photo and nickname remain on your device, and the AI request contains only quiz selections and a non-identifying tone summary. Advertising and consent data are handled according to the choices and disclosures presented by the applicable consent platform.
Children
ChakraLens is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not store your photos or personal data, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete on your behalf. If you have any question about your privacy, contact us at hello@chakralens.com.
